The Week of Action took place at various locations around the cluster on the 19th-21st October 2010.  The Swindon Safe Bus was out in Eldene and Liden Shops, Cavendish Square, and Sussex Square, Walcot with important information about personal safety, alcohol and drugs. Representatives from various branches of Swindon Borough Council were present to take people’s questions and listen to people’s issues with their local area, as well as representatives from the emergency services.

The objective of the Week of Action was to go out into the community and not only get the residents’ perspective on how to improve their local area, but also help them to protect themselves, with the provision of free personal alarms, door and window alarms and UV marker pens.
