Swindon Young Wardens to tidy up communities
Young people will be making a difference in three communities by joining a Swindon Borough Council-run scheme during the summer holiday.
The Young Wardens scheme was launched in Penhill last summer and saw over 20 young people regularly help the council’s Neighbourhood Wardens and take part in a range of different activities. Read more
Place shaping in Our Communities - Participation Event
We held our Place Shaping event on 28th September 2010 in the West Swindon Library. The purpose of the event was to provide the community the opportunity to take part in setting their own local planning priorities. People had the opportunity to influence the future provision of houses, shops, parks and other facilities. The outcomes of the events will be used to shape local policies in one of the Council's most important planning strategies.
West Swindon Celebration Event
Our Celebration Event was held on Saturday 10th July 2010 at the Link Centre from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. Lots of people came along and found out more about West Swindon Forum and all the activities available at the Link Centre. This event was organised by the Community, for the Community.
The long running West Swindon Community Forum is now also the Connecting People Connecting Places Forum.
