Jobs for long-term unemployed youth
Will you help create employment opportunities for long-term unemployed young people within your teams and organisations?
The Council will be submitting bids to the Government's new £1.1 billion Future Jobs Fund at the end of July and August. Our bid focuses upon creating new employment opportunities for young, long term unemployed people to assist the Swindon Strategic Partnership to deliver against its aims and objectives, and the Council's 50 Promises.
The bid will create fully funded jobs for 6 months that could provide an extra pair of hand to deliver projects and services. There is no obligation to continue the employment beyond the six months, although 'on the job' training and supervision is required to benefit the individual's work prospects.
