LOCAL PLAN

The Public Local Inquiry is to be held from early 2005.  Anybody who has made objections to the First or Revised Draft Plans, that the Council does not agree with have the opportunity to appear at the inquiry.  All objections that are not to be heard at inquiry will be submitted to an independent government appointed Inspector for consideration.

The Council has recently produced some (non-statutory) pre-inquiry changes to the Local Plan.  Any responses made to these changes will also be made available for the Inspector to consider if he or she wishes.

Following the inquiry the Council recieves a report from the Inspector who will recommend changes to the Plan.  The Council then makes proposed modifications based on the Inspector's report.  Once these modifications have been subject to public consultation, the plan may be adopted.
