SUPPORTING PEOPLE STRATEGY This strategy describes the Supporting People Programme and what it is trying to achieve for the vulnerable people of Swindon. Swindon Borough Council funds the programme with grants based on funding levels awarded from Central Government.
Supporting People is a working partnership of Social Services, Housing, Probation and Health together with Providers, Carers and Users of Services and other support agencies. Housing Related Services help people to help themselves by:

The next step is to develop an annual plan and a Five Year Strategy, which will identify the needs for type of service and inform where funds should be channelled in future, right up to year 2009.
